Nelson Colt
Nelson Colt started playing live at the young age of 16 during the mid 1980’s. He quickly formed a country four-piece group named “Northern Express” and toured Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec for many years.
When the touring ended, Nelson also performed for many years as a single act in many venues in the same areas.
In the mid 1990’s Nelson met CCMA Award Winning musician and producer, Allen Bragg. Nelson and Al quickly became friends and ended up working together, both on stage and in the studio.
Nelson has had the opportunity to be the opening act for Michelle Wright and John Connelly.
During the early 2000’s, Nelson, along with the help of Al Bragg, put together a tribute show to George Strait and had much success playing both in Canada and in the United States.
After that, Nelson started writing and ended up meeting Barry Brown from the Family Brown Country group, who co-wrote the songs on Nelsons’ current EP, which was recorded in Nashville.
Nelson continues to perform live with his new band and now runs his own home studio, recording his voice for country music song writers who need music demos or full radio releases.
See you at the next show!
